Description

Towards Co-Creation

How does AI work? And how do we work with AI? As AI-driven systems become increasingly embedded in the graphic designer’s workflow—writing our text, generating our images, drafting our code—this workshop examines what it means to co-create with these tools rather than simply operating them.

Working in teams of two students and an AI model, we want to explore collaboration across text, image, or code. We investigate how both human and AI perceive, describe, and transform the world. What biases and operations lie beneath these transformations and what agency can we gain in the process? At the same time we want to reflect on our way of collaboration: how do we communicate, negotiate, inspire, and misunderstand. We’ll look at prompting versus discourse and recognition versus interpretation.

Rather than aiming for efficiency, we focus on the process: What should be automated, what should remain human, and how do we design not only with AI tools, but also shape how we interact with them?
